Lane Hemming
Lane Hemming served as an educator for over 30 years and as an administrator for over 20 years. He oversaw the bonding and construction of Madison Middle School, Madison High School, and he worked in the district office as assistant superintendent. He has developed downtown housing and retail projects to help revitalize areas of the community. Hemming has also served in several volunteer assignments in Idaho State Education, in service and chamber organizations, and as a board member of the Chamber of Commerce. He currently serves as a member of the Kiwanis Club.
Hemming was awarded Business Person of the Year in 2011 by the Rexburg Chamber of Commerce and the Best Redevelopment Project Award in 2010 by the city of Rexburg. In 2014, the Seasons Medical building, brought online by Hemming properties, was awarded the Business Beautification Award. While serving as principal of Madison High School, the school won a plethora of academic, fine arts, and athletic awards, and was instrumental in making all aspects of the educational institution excellent.
Hemming served an LDS mission as a young man and has served a senior service LDS mission with his wife Janice. Lane’s hobbies include working on his small cattle operation and development projects, fishing, and camping with his family.
